Treatment Techniques

 About Our Services

At Taylor Chiropractic, PC, we offer a variety of different types of chiropractic techniques and treatments to suit your individual needs.

As a new patient you will receive a comprehensive consultation, physical, orthopedic, and neurologic testing; and x-rays, if necessary to determine if you can be helped by chiropractic care. (Bring any MRIs, x-rays, CAT scans, myelograms, etc., that you have had taken recently). When the examination is complete, your diagnosis and suggested treatment plan will be shared with you (and your family, if desired).

Appropriate treatment will be recommended based on your needs. In most cases, the treatment will begin with some soft tissue work (massage), and in some cases, electrical stimulation may be administered to decrease muscle spasms and tension. Then, gentle chiropractic adjustments will begin. In addition to the standard or more traditional chiropractic techniques, Dr. Taylor has received additional specialized training in more advanced, low and non-force techniques, such as Cox Decompression Adjustment & Manipulation (Flexion/Distraction) Technic and Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique. These techniques are especially ideal for those who do NOT want to experience "cracking" or "popping" sounds that are sometimes associated with chiropractic adjustments.

Once you are on the path to recovery, Dr. Taylor will provide you with a customized program of rehabilitative exercises to decrease your risk of a relapse. Research shows that patients who continue rehabilitation even after "feeling better" have less scar tissue formation and have more strength, flexibility, better cartilage nutrition, and less chance of recurrence of injury.

 Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers

What are Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers?

Spinal Pelvic StabilizersSpinal Pelvic Stabilizers are flexible, custom-made orthotics that you wear in your shoes. They are the only orthotics designed to support all three arches of your foot to help align your ankles, knees, and hips, providing a solid foundation for your entire body. Exact measurements of your feet are taken from your digital foot scan when we create your pair of Stabilizers, so they are as unique as you are. Firm and flexible, they support the body and allow your feet to maintain normal movement.

Digital Foot ScannerThe Associate Platinum is a digital foot scanner that helps Dr. Taylor to evaluate your postural health. After you are scanned, the Associate Platinum creates a digital image of your feet that shows your weight distribution on each foot and indicates imbalances or weakness in your feet. Weaknesses or imbalances in your feet can affect other areas of your body, like your knees, hips, and spine. Dr. Taylor can then decide, based on the digital image of your feet, if you could benefit from Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers.

Imbalanced SkeletonThe joints in your body that bear weight (ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, low back, neck) are like links in a chain. If your feet aren't balanced, every joint (and the connecting muscles, tendons, and ligaments) above may become injured over time due to unnatural twists and strains on your body. Pain may occur because of these postural imbalances.

Imbalanced SkeletonA body that is out of balance can be causing you pain anywhere from your feet all the way up to your neck. Custom-made Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers are specially made for your feet and for your unique postural condition.
